7/14/2007 12:05:54 AM

Jammu,July 13
The leadership of Panthers Party, which has already withdrawn its support to the ruling coalition ,is amazed over the way Chief Minister,Ghulam Nabi Azad, has ordered setting up nine task forces,to be headed by senior bureaucrats, for monitoring the progress and utilization of funds earmarked for centrally sponsored projects after a prolonged delay.
“Is it a case of to be wise after the events for the Chief Minister ?.”Asked leader of the Panthers Party in the state legislature,Harsh Dev Singh. He said today “it is infortunate that for about 15 months various Government departments and agencies had not been able to utilize fully funds released for centrally sponsored schemes. And it is equally amazing that Chief Minister, whose one slogan is to fight corruption and improve work culture remained a mute spectator.”
Harsh Dev Singh said that now that Ghulam Nabi Azad has admitted that in the light of growing mess in various wings of administration the state agencies had not been able to utilize Rs.5000 crores which he had got it from the centre as additional aid there is no other alternative left for the Chief Minister except for holding early election in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Panthers Party leader said “besides growing paralysis in the state administration the growing conflict between the Congress and the PDP had adversely affected the functioning of the cabinet too.He said “under these circumstances people will suffer because of misgovernance or non-governance.”He said that “either the Congress should snap ties with the PDP and run the Government on its own,if it can be done,or go to the people for seeking fresh mandate.”He made it clear that usually ruling coalitions suffer some hiccups but the level of such missing pulses in Jammu and Kashmir is very high.”
Harsh Dev Singh asked the Chief Minister not to feel shy of taking the congress to the people and if people give clear mandate to the Congress “we will accept it
