| Realistic approach must to resolve Kashmir issue: | | | Srinagar, July 13 (INFO) –Chairman PDF and Minister for Transport Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen today paid floral tributes to the martyrs of 1931. He visited Mazari Shudu here today and offered Fateh. Addressing the gathering their, Hakeem Yaseen said that the martyrs of July 13, 1931 sacrificed their lives to end the suppression of autocratic rule in the Jammu and Kashmir. Describing the day as a milestone in the history of State, the Chairman said that “we should uphold their ideals to promote peace, progress, prosperity and development in the State, The martyrs fought for dignity, social equality, love, compassion and communal amity”. Hakeem Yaseen said that sacrifices of the martyrs yielded fruit of democracy for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He called upon the leadership of India and Pakistan to adopt realistic and democratic approach for solving the Kashmir problem adding that people’s aspirations should be taken into consideration to ensure durable and lasting solution to the Kashmir issue. He said present situation in the sub-continent was supportive and offering opportunity for the peaceful and permanent settlement of the all the issues as both the countries should have advantage of the conducive situation, he maintained. He said, he and his party PDF had always stood for amicable relations between the two neighbouring countries and wanted more improvement in relations. Hakeem Yaseen said that the Confidence Building Measures needed to be strengthened further which in long run would benefit the people across the LoC. He appreciated the steps taken by the Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad in holding three Round Table Conferences and setting up of five working groups to redress the grievances of the people of Jammu and Kashmir State
