In a statement issued today, Kichloo said during the recently held District Development Board Meeting of District Kishtwar, the District has been provided a meager amount of Rs. 22.00 crore under Plan funds, which he said are quite insufficient to meet the requirement viz development of the newly created District. He alleged that other districts having lesser population have been provided more funds. He said the developmental works in the District will come to a grinding halt in absence of adequate funds. The people had pinned hopes on t State Government that sufficient funds will be provided for the development of the newly created District, but their hopes have been dashed to ground and a sense of neglect have housed the hearts and minds of the people of this District.
