| Girl commits suicide, boy drowns | | |
Srinagar, July 13
] A girl committed suicide in Aharbal, by jumping in the river Veshu and a boy drowned in Kupwara, while body of a non local was recovered from Dal Lake in Srinagar during last twenty four hours.
Sources told News Agency of Kashmir that a teen aged girl jumped in the river Veshu at Aharbal water.
The body of the girl, who has been identified as Zahida D/O Ghulam Hassan Sheikh R/O Shoush Kulgam has been fished out and handed over to family after completing legal formalities. .
The reason behind taking such a drastic step by the girl was not known immediately.
Meanwhile, a boy Sajad Ali Khan 14, so of Yaqoob Khan, of Kachama Kupwara lost his life while bathing in a water Reservoir. Body of Sajad was recovered and handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
In yet another incident Police recovered the body of a non local person from the famous Dal lake early this afternoon.
Sources said that on noticing a body flouting on the waters of the famous Dal Lake, the locals informed the police,. The body was retrieved by a team of police.
As per identity card, the deceased has been identified as Yoginder Singh, son of Raguraj Singh, of 19/174 Pala Shahiababad road, Khirni Gate, Aligarh.
