| Natrang’s Silver Jubilee Theatre Festival begins on Wednesday | | |
Jammu | July 16 In connection with the Silver Jubilee celebrations, Natrang is going to organize the biggest ever theatre festival of the country from July 18 to August 1 August. The festival will feature seventeen plays including two street plays. Informing about this mega event, Natrang president Balwant Thakur said that the event is being organized in collaboration with J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages and Natrang is all set to create history for the state of J&K. He further said that to organize seventeen plays in fifteen days by one group is unbelievable but the commitment and the efforts by the Natrang team as a group is attempting to make it successful. The festival will feature five Dogri, eleven Hindi and one play in English. The festival will open with the Play ‘Bagia Banchh Ram Ki’-a Hindustani adaptation of a Bengali play written by Manoj Mitra and directed by Adil Hussain. The festival will conclude with the Balwant Thakurs Dogri Play ‘Suno Eh Kahani ’ The Silver Jubilee festival will also feature two street plays ‘Girgit’ in Hindi and ‘Gatt’ in Dogri under the direction of Neeraj Kant. Among others present on the occasion were Anil Tikoo, Sanjeev Gupta and Suresh Kumar.
