Jammu July, 16 In order to prepare a strategy to conduct the school Health Check-up programme, which is going to be started by the Jammu branch of Indian Red Cross Society, a meeting of officers of Education and Health department was held today. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, H K Singh. Speaking on the occasion, Singh said that the programmed will cover all the school going children of Jammu district, which also includes the government and private schools and the anganwari centers also. He further added that this programme is first of its kind, in whole of the country. He also appreciated this type of steps being taken by the Dinesh Gupta, Executive Secretary, district Red Cross Secretary and his team. Earlier in the function, Dinesh Gupta, highlighted the action plan to make this event as successful. He also informed that the entire programme is to be covered in four stages, starting from September this year and will continue up to December 2007. Among others who spoke on this occasion included Addl. D C, I A Zargar, CEO Romesh Bhandari, CMO Jammu, Shahid Mugal, Yashpal Sharma, and Childline Co-ordinator, O P Gupta.
