| Congress leaders hail PM statement on rehabilitation on refugees | | |

Senior Congress leaders have welcomed the announcement of the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh for the rehabilitation of the refugees, displaced persons and Kashmiri migrants in the State.
In a statement issued here today Member Parliament Madan Lal Sharma, PCC General secretary Vinod Sharma, MLC Arvinder Singh Micky and PCC Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma have welcomed the announcement of Prime Minister, who said that the refugees from Pakistan and POK are suffering for the last 60 years and need to be properly rehabilitated and permanently settled. The State Government headed by Ghulam Nabi Azad has initiated various steps for the rehabilitation and settlement of these refugees.
They also welcomed the Prime Minister’s firm resolve not to succumb before terrorism but to fight it with full vigor. It should be an eye-opener for those playing politics on the issue of demilitarization in ignoring the safety aspect of the common citizen of the State, the statement added.
