| SAD deputation calls on PM | | |

A deputation of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) led by its vice-president S.Gurdev Singh called on the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh here yesterday and apprised him about the problems being faced by the 1947 refugees.
The delegation demanded a special compensation package of Rs.10 lakhs per family as onetime settlement of the claims for moveable/unmovable properties left behind in POK. Gurdev Singh also requested the P.M that Sikhs and Hindus who migrated from POK in 1947 be allowed to visit their ancestral places and shrines in occupied areas.
The other members of the deputations were Dayal Singh Waqir, Kher Singh, Amrik Singh, Jarnail Singh, Tarlochan Singh Bijral, S. Jai Singh, Avatar Singh and Master Jagbir Singh.
