In the first militant attack on Amarnath Yatra this year, at least 16 persons were on Tuesday night wounded, three of them critically, when grenades were hurled at a base camp at Baltal, about 100 km from Srinagar.
The attack, which took place just outside the camp at around 9.30 pm, left 13 shopkeepers in the area, two pilgrims and the driver of a bus ferrying the pilgrims injured, official sources said.
The condition of three of the injured was stated to be critical.
