| Factionalism creeping up in PDP | | | Jammu, July 17 In sharp contrast to its early days, when Peoples Democratic Party emerged as a political force across the state and succeeded in uprooting mighty National Conference in 2002 State Legislative Assembly, groupism and favoritism within the ranks have started eating its very strong as a result of which its workers are showing less zeal in furthering the cause of the party. Disgruntled party leaders within the party disclosed that favor is being done in giving away important position in the party. "There is complete mess. It is absolute dictatorship. The leadership of the party never keeps in consideration the contribution of a worker while allotting important designations in the party". He said while Sources further said that the party is rapidly losing its mass support as the workers are showing less enthusiasm in working at grass root level for the benefit of the party. "The workers are the limbs for any organization and when they are not taken care of properly, any party will have to suffer" sources said.The source alleged that the leadership of the party doesn't encourage the workers with secular ideology. "The workers with secular outlook have always suffered in a very big way and those with a communal bent of mind have prospered." Said he. The source further went on to saying that the party has a bin for all sorts of scraps where those joining it are promoted in no time while those having served it with heart are disheartened. "Every time a leader joining the party is pleased with some important portfolio within the party and the hardwork of founder ones is completely overlooked. |
