| NC’s CWC decides to vote for Pratibha | | |
Srinagar, July 17
The joint meeting of the Central Working Committee and the Legislature Party of the J&K National Conference was chaired by its President Omar Abdullah, wherein the Patron of the party Dr. Farooq Abdullah also participated here today. The ensuing Presidential elections were discussed. The party decided that in keeping with its secular credentials and traditions, the party Legislators and the Parliamentarians should vote for the UPA candidate Pratibha Patil who is being supported by all the secular and democratic forces of the country. The party felt that it should be endeavor of all political parties to work towards the strengthening of the secular and democratic fabric of the country and create a congenial atmosphere wherein all sections of the society live comfortably in peace, harmony and with brotherhood
