| Two dead, nine injured in road mishaps | | | Srinagar, July 17 :At least two persons died and nine others were injured in separate road accidents across the Kashmir valley on Tuesday. Sources told News Agency of Kashmir that an ill fated Taxi Sumo met an accident near Petrol Pump Dialgam resulting in injuries to 10 passengers on board. However, a woman later succumbed to her injuries in the Hospital. Sources identified the deceased woman as Rafiqa Begum, wife of Ab. Hamid Bhat, resident of Budsgam Anantnag. Giving details, sources said that an over speedy Tata Taxi bearing registration number JK03/1099 turned turtle near petrol pump Dialgam, falling under the jurisdiction of police station Anantnag. Meanwhile a minor girl Atiqa, daughter of Ab. Kabir, resident of Chandkote, succumbed to injuries after a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK05-A/4356 hit her from Behind near Chandkote Crossing on Srinagar Baramulla Highway, falling under the jurisdiction of police station Sopore. The injured girl was rushed to Sopore hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. Police has registered a case in this regard and has taken up investigations.
