| Army organizes free medical camp at Bhadarwah | | | BHADARWAH, July 18- 4 Rashtriya Rifles (4RR) (BIHAR) Battalion at Sarna, Bhadarwah organized free medical camp under the aegis of Operation Sadhbhavana at remote village Sherakhi area in Tehsil Bhadarwah of District Doda. Over 2300 needy and poor patients of nearby villages were examined by Army and Civil doctors of SDH Bhadarwah and free medicines were distributed to needy and poor patients. Medical, Surgical, a lady Gynecologist, Dental and Army Doctors were present at the camp to provide much needed specialized medical cover especially for ladies and elderly people residing in far-flung areas. In the camp, medicines worth Rs 60, 000 were distributed free of cost to needy and poor patients. On the occasion a lecture on the importance of hygiene and sanitation was delivered by Capt Rakesh Kumar, Commanding Officer of the Rashtriya Rifles Battalion. Speaking on the occasion local people of the area praised Army for being ready to help the poor and needy people in this militancy infested area adding that organizing such camps will create brotherhood among masses in the society and increase relations between Army and public that is very important to contain militancy activities. Among other present at the camp were SDM Bhadarwah P.K.Pole, 2IC 4RR S.Bhaduria and other army officials.
