| Attack on Amarnath pilgrims draw protest | | |

People of Jammu West constituency today held a protest demonstration against militant attack on Amarnath pilgrims at base camp Baltal in Kashmir last evening causing injuries to 18 persons including some pilgrims..
The protestors also burnt the effigies of PDP patron Mufti Mohammed. Sayeed, UPA government led by Dr. Manmohan Singh and state coalition government led by Ghulam Nabi Azad.
Addressing the gathering, President Sunil Dimple alleged complete failure of the Centre and the State Governments in checking attacks on pilgrims and described the attack on Amar Nath pilgrims as an attack on the entire Hindu community as also the nationalists forces across the country
He urged the State Governor to dissolve the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly as no party, has clear cut majority and the infighting between coalition partners was pushing back the state towards militancy. He charged the government of its failure in protecting the life and property of innocent people of the state.
Among those who spoke on the occasion were Mohinder Dev Sharma, Ishar Dass Ashok Khanna, Anu Sharma, Surinder Singh, Vineet Gupta and Vipin Gupta.
