| Charak urges contractors to be real architects | | | Srinagar, July 18 – Saying that contractors act as backbone of development activities of the state, Minister for Roads and Buildings Mr. Gulchain Singh Charak urged upon the contractors to be real architects of the state by putting in their head and hands in the execution of developmental works. Minister was addressing a function organized to felicitate the newly elected office bearers of J&K Construction Contractors Association here today. He said that the contractors have a primary role in execution works and its is their sincerity and dedication that can prove upcoming assets durable and cost effective. He expressed the hope that the elected office bearers of the association would propagate the idea of sincerity and dedication among the colleagues to utilize the funds judiciously for the welfare of the state. Mr. Charak said that there is no dearth of funds but it is our duty to work hard to complete the developmental projects well in time in every corner of the state. He said that the geographical conditions of three regions of the state are different and we have to manage the time in such a way to complete all the projects in a prescribed time with quality of work. Referring the demands of the association Mr. Charak said that a joint meeting would be convened shortly to discuss all these issues to redress these problems at an earliest. Others, who were present on the occasion, include Chief Engineer R&B Kashmir, Executive Engineers and president of the JKCCA.
