Preparation for the forthcoming celebrations of Independence Day were discussed at a meeting of senior officers of various departments under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Jammu Mr. Hirdesh Kumar Singh here this morning.
Deliberating on the arrangements being made by the departments for the smooth and peaceful conduct of Independence Day, the officers apprised about the preparation including Illumination of prominent government buildings, drinking water, electricity, medicare, security, transportation, traffic regulation, sanitation etc.
Interacting with the participants, the Deputy Commissioner discussed various issues and the problems of the departments. He said that sufficient and timely arrangements should be made well in time. He said that the rehearsal should start from August 6th. Mr. Singh stressed for maintaining close liaison so as to make the national event a grand success.
ADCs Mr. Himant Kumar and Mr. I. A. Zargar, SSP Traffic Mr. S. A. Watali, SSP City Mr. Mukesh Singh, Commissioner JMC Mr. Vinod Sharma, Joint Director Information, Mr. S. K. Sharma, SE R&B, PDD, Executive Engineers PDD, PHE and senior officers of various departments were present.
