| Wife murdered by husband | | |

A woman was brutally murdered by her husband in village Dhanas area under the location of Police station Chenani in Udhampur district. According to reports today one shopkeeper Jai Gopal son of Dev Raj Mahajan resident of Dhanas, Chenani today afternoon attacked his wife Veena Devi with sharp edged weapon in which she got serious injuries. After hearing her cries, the neighbours rushed to her home and also informed the police. Police after booking the information rushed to the spot and arrested the accused along with weapon of offence and took the lady to hospital where on the way she died. Police has registered a case in this regard and investigating the matter.
