| Revitalize the dialogue process for the resolution of the Kashmir issue:Omar | | | Srinagar, July 19 Appealing Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and the Pakistan President General Parvaiz Musharraf to revitalize the dialogue process for the resolution of the Kashmir issue, President National Conference, Omar Abdullah to said that he shall again meet the two leaders personally to make them aware of the problems faced to the people of the state. Speaking at a public gathering at Anchar in Soura area of Srinagar today, Omar cautioned the people of the state to gear themselves for a major test, adding that the resolution of the Kashmir issue and return of peace shall automatically solve the problems of the people of the state. Reiterating his stand that his party had committed certain mistakes in the past for which it had to pay in the 2002 elections when the party was reduced to just 28 seats in the legislative assembly, Omar alleged that the coalition government had failed at all fronts while people got nothing except pain and distress. "The government exchequer is being looted, women's chastity is being molested while corruption is rampant," Omar said about the rule of the coalition government that came to power in 2002 when Congress and PDP decided to join hands post elections. "No one is answerable on this dispensation," he added. Omar also lambasted the government's claims that peace is returning saying that people are feeling no relief while the development works are minimal. "The coalition government got billions of rupees as aid from the central government but there is no account of where the money was spent," Omar said adding that basic civic amenities have taken a toll since 2002. Citing examples of Muslim Auqaf Trust and the Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, Omar said that the two institutions were ruined sine government took them over and added that medicine was no where to be seen in hospitals.
