| APDF holds protest demonstration, alleges discrimination | | |
DODA: July 19- To press their demands the residents of Doda city, under the aegis of All Parties Development Front (APDF) staged a massive dharna at old Bus Stand here today
Addressing the protestors the Front leaders denounced the administration of its failure in implementing the assurances made by the Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and impressed upon the CM to take stern action against those who have failed to comply with the directions passed him.
The demand put forth by the demonstrators included creation of Chenab Valley Division, opening of high court bench, construction of Dessa-Kapran road linking it with Chenani via Marmat to provide alternate link to connect Kashmir Valley apart from establishment of golf course at Lal Draman, early completion of college and district hospital buildings with provision of requisite staff and laboratory .facilities,
The protestors were led by the President of the Front Thakur Chuni Lal .A large number of students from Government Degree College also participates in the dharna and demanded construction of more classrooms and introduction of subjects like commerce, sociology, geography in the College
