| Drug peddler arrested with 1500 capsules | | |

Gandhi Nagar police today arrested a drug peddler in the area and recovered 1500 intoxicant capsules from his possession.
According to reports police on a specific information that a drug peddler was supplying the capsules, a police police team from Gandhi Nagar police station led by Inspector Rafiq Manhas swung into action and laid a trap in the area and during checking police arrested one drug peddler namely Hardev Singh son of Nanak Singh resident Nai Basti and recovered1500 capsules from his possession and took him to police station for further interrogation.
Sources said during interrogation he told police that he was involved in this trade for last many years and after smuggling the capsules from Punjab and other states he used to supply these to the youth in the area. Police has also registered a case in this regard and is investigating the matter.
