| CM assures diploma holders of early adjustment | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu July 19, 2007 The Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad today assured a deputation of the All Jammu and Kashmir Unemployed ITI diploma holders, who called on him in Srinagar today that their genuine demand for adjustment as ‘Rehber-i-Bijli’ would be considered by the government at the earliest. The unemployed ITI diploma holders are on strike for the last over 100 days in support of their demands. Following assurance by the Minister for Health and Medical Education Mangat Ram Sharma that he would arrange a meeting with the Chief Minister, a deputation of the agitating unemployed diploma holders met the Chief Minister at Srinagar and put forth their demands. According to the Association handout Chief Minister is reported to have assured the deputationists led by the Association President Rakesh Sharma that government would consider the demand for their absorption as Rehbar-i-Bijli’ on the pattern of ReTs. The Chief Minister also reported to have assured the deputation that government would withdraw the cases filed against the Chairman and other members of the association. The other members of the deputation were Mukesh, Harbhushan Pandita, Nissar-ul- Haq, Mehraj Din and Ashraf Wani.
