| Four killed, six injured in suicide attack in Pak | | |
In the latest attack in a series of suicide bombings that rocked Pakistan after the Lal Masjid operation, at least four people were killed and six others injured today in the restive tribal belt near Afghan border. One security personnel and three civilians were killed when a suicide bomber blew himself up near a security checkpost in Miranshah, the centre of North Waziristan tribal agency, Geo TV reported. Six people, including three security men, were also injured in the blast, it said. The blast took place as tribal elders were engaged in talks with local Taliban in North Waziristan to save a peace deal. The attack came a day after three suicide blasts in different areas of the country killed more than 50 people in a possible fallout of last week's deadly Army raid on the pro-Taliban Lal Masjid here.
