| Reorganization of YS&SD to tap sports talent: Babu Singh | | | SRINAGAR, JULY 20 Minister for Youth Services and Sports Mr. Babu Singh has said that reorganization of Youth Services and Sports department as approved by the state cabinet will be implemented soon, adding that the historic decision was taken keeping in view the problems confronted by the employees of the department. He said this while interacting with media persons here today. Commissioner/Secretary Higher Education, Pramod Jain and Director Youth Services and Sports Mr. R. K. Gupta were also present on the occasion. The Minister said that seniority list of gazetted and non-gazetted employees has been prepared and on the basis of that District Youth Services and Sports officers have been posted in 11 districts of the state and for the remaining 8 districts Nodal officers have been posted. This he said has been done in strict adherence to the seniority list of the employees working in the department. On the basis of seniority 5 new instructors have been appointed, he added. Mr. Sing informed that Gulshan Ara has been promoted as Deputy Director Kashmir and for Jammu province Deputy Director has also been posted. He said that 386 posts of physical education lecturers, 1140 posts of physical education masters, 840 physical education teachers would be created to strengthen the department. He said that it is for the first time that lecturer posts are being created in the department being filled up through direct recruitment system and DPCs. However, he said that M. P.Ed is compulsory qualification for lecturers in the department.
