| Jammu 's ID Dental College approved | | | ET REPORTER Jammu, July 20: In a positive development the Centre Government has accorded formal permission to Jammu and Kashmir for establishing a new dental college, Indira Gandhi Government Dental College at Jammu with an annual admission of 50 students in BDS course for the academic session 2007-08. The grant of permission for establishment of new dental college has been conveyed to the Principal and Dean of Indira Gandhi Government Dental College Jammu through a communication issued on July 14, 2007. The communication says "this permission is valid for only one year and for admitting only one batch of students during the academic session 2007-08. the central Government Permission will be renewed on yearly basis after verification of the achievement of annual targets. The next batch of students will be admitted in the college only after renewal of Central Government Permission for 2nd year BDS Course in the College". It further says that admission made in violation of the above condition will be treated as irregular.
