| BJP protests against CAPD department officials, burn effigies | | | Early Times reporter Jammu July, 20 Supporting the general public, the BJP activists today organized a protest demonstration against Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department authorities for its alleged failure in providing essential commodities to the consumers and burnt effigies of the concerned authorities at busy City Chowk here.. Large number of party activists led by state secretary, Yudhvir Sethi, staged protest demonstration, against the coalition government and burnt the effigies of CAPD department, for their total failure in providing food grains like Atta, rice, sugar and Kerosene oil at the depots. Sethi on this occasion alleged that since the people are suffering for want of rations the authorities are watching all this like mute spectators forcing the consumers to take recourse to the protests and agitations. ‘The government is non-serious about the people’s problems’, he alleged and said that it the situation does not improve at the earliest the people and the party activists to come to streets to lodge full fledged protest against the government and the department concerned. Warning to gherao the CADP officials, Sethi asked the Chief Minister and the Minister for Consumer Affairs to rise to the occasion and ensure timely supply of rations at the ration depots.. Among others who participated in the protest demonstration included Om Khajuria, Sanjay Mahajan, Pawan Pandoh, Surinder, Anil Kumar, Madan Abrol, Anil Masoom, Vikrant Singh, Arun Sethi and Vipan Kumar.
