| Snatching case solved, two arrested | | | Jammu | July 20 Bhaderwah police today worked out a snatching case and recovered the cash from two thieves, who were active in snatching and involved in theft cases in the area for last many years. According to reports on July 16 last, a case FIR No 118/2007 under section 382 RPC was registered at police station Bhaderwah in connection with snatching of Rs.6000 from one Amar Chand son of Jodh Raj resident of Sungli Bhaderwah by two unknown persons. During the course of investigation, police conducted raids at different places in Bhaderwah area in which two persons namely Mohammed Sohail son of Mohammed Aslam resident of Saraf Mohallah and Khalid Nazir son of Nazir Ahmed resident of Khakhal Mohallah, Bhaderwah were arrested and snatched money recovered from their possession. Sources said they were involved in many thefts and robbery cases in the area. They used to wait outside the banks in search of some old person who would make drawl from bank and after chasing him to a lonely place, the duo used to snatch the money and run away. They are being put to sustained questioning to identify their other associates if any and also to work out other pending cases of this nature. The police team, who worked out the snatching case, has been suitably rewarded by SSP Doda.
