| CB books bank employee for misappropriation | | |

Crime Branch booked a bank employee for misappropriating public money and registered a case in this regard.
According to reports, Crime Branch received a complaint from General Manager J&K State Co-operative Bank alleging therein that Ishtiyaq Ahmad Magray S/o Gh. Nabi Magray R/o Syadpora Handi Zakoora, the then Cashier cum-clerk has fraudulently drawn an amount of Rs. 114.35 lakhs by falsification of different bank accounts from Kangan Branch of the said bank.
On receipt of the complaint a case under FIR NO. 53/2007 has been registered in P/S Crime Branch Kashmir for in-depth investigation.
In an another case, a complaint was received by Crime Branch to the effect that one Mohammad Maqbool Bhat, Store Keeper Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department, posted at Kalam Pora Pulwama has tampered with his date of birth and accordingly indicated his date of birth as April 25,1968 against his actual date of birth as April 25,1957. Thus the suspect has attempted to lengthen his service duration by 11 years.
On receipt of the complaint a case under FIR NO. 52/2007 has been registered in Crime Branch, Kashmir, and investigation has been taken up.
