| Shopkeeper, among three arrested, with stolen aluminum | | | Jammu | July 21 Narwal police today arrested three persons on charges of selling stolen aluminum in the area and seized about three quintals of aluminum from their possession. SP South Zahid Manhas said today that police received specific information that two persons were selling aluminum illegally in the area and after booking information a police team led by IC/PP Narwal Vikram Sharma under the direction of SDPO B S Tuti swung into action and raided at a shop in yard no 6 where police arrested a shopkeeper and other two persons while they were selling stolen aluminum illegally in the area. The arrested persons has been identified as Ashwani Kumar, shopkeeper, son of Chuni Lal at present shop No 84, yard No 6, Transport Nagar, Bashrat Hussain son of Mohd Shafi and Faroq Ahmed son of Sahid Din both residents of Batote and took them to police station for further interrogation. Sources said during interrogation they told police that they had stolen the aluminum from army area in Batote. A case has been already registered in police station Batote in this regard. Narwal police later handed over the accused to Batote police for further interrogation.
