| Rashtriya Gaurav Award for CAO Sharma | | | UDHAMPUR, JULY 21 Chief Agriculture Officer, Udhampur, Mr. Kuldesh Sharma has been decorated with prestigious “Rashtriya Gaurav Award” for his meritorious and remarkable achievements in the field of agriculture. The award was presented to him at a seminar on “Economic Growth and National Integration” held at New Delhi by the former Governor of Assam and Tamil Nadu, Mr. Bhisham Narain Singh. Mr. Sharma was active in popularizing “Organic Farming” especially in vegetables to provide chemicals free on sustainable growth to the society for their health and longevity. Mr. Sharma born on March 20, 1952 in Kathua town passed B. Sc. Agriculture at Pant Nagar Agriculture University, Nainital (U.P) in the year1975 and started his career as Apiculture Development Assistant in the department February, 1976 at Banihal. Later, he got through M. Sc. Agriculture (Entomology) from SKUAST Kashmir in 1992 and promoted to the rank of Subject Matter Specialist (SMS)-III and posted at Poonch in 1993. In the year 1997 he was again elevated to the post of SMS-II and posted at Srinagar. In February 2005, Mr. Sharma was posted as Plant Protection Officer at Jammu and presently rendering his valuable services in the department at Udhampur as Chief Agriculture Officer since April 2005 till date.
