| Another police cop arrested in rape case | | |

Rajouri police today arrested one more police constable allegedly involved in the rape of a girl in the area.
According to reports, the police during a raid in a hideout arrested another police constable allegedly involved in the rape of a girl and took him to police station for further interrogation.
It may be recalled that two days back a girl who was admitted in Rajouri hospital for treatment after consuming some poisonous substance gave a statement to police that two police constables namely Mohammed Shabir and Ghulam Abbas, posted in District Police Line Rajouri, had kidnapped and raped her many times in their rental house. Afraid of the stigma she made an abortive attempt to commit suicide by consuming some poisonous, she said but was rushed to the hospital by somebody where she gained consciousness.
After reporting her statement, the police swung into action and raided the rental house of the police cop and had arrested Ghulam Abbas on the spot while the other constable fled from the spot
Police after registering a case against the accused launched a manhunt to nab the other culprit and finally succeeded in arresting him after conducting several raids in the area today.
