| Ex PSA detainee gunned down | | |
Srinagar July 22: Unidentified armed men gunned down a former PSA convict inside his house at Bhawan in North Kashmir town of Handwara on Sunday morning.
A group of armed men barged in the house of one Ghulam Mohammad and took him inside one of the room asking the family members that they had to discuss some important matter.
While the unsuspecting house members allowed them to meet Ghulam Mohammad separately, the gunmen fired several shots killing him on the spot, sources told KMT.
They said that the gunmen later fled from the spot leaving behind their victim dead.
The assailants before fleeing from the spot also lobbed a grenade on the house of the victim causing damage to the property. However there was no report of loss of life in the blast.
Police sources said that Ghulam Mohammad was recently released from Jail after completing his detention under PSA.
