| 'PDP finalizes Foundation Day celebration program' | | Sayeed to address main functions at Sgr, Jammu | |
Srinagar , July 23: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has finalized the program for celebrating the party's Foundation Day. In this connection week-long functions would be organized across the State starting July 28, 2007.
As per the schedule released by PDP Political Secretary, Peerzada Mansoor Hussain here today the main function being organized at the party headquarters in Srinagar on July 28 would be addressed by the party Patron, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and senior leader Muzaffar Hussain Baig. The party would also launch its website at the same function. On the same day another function being organized at Rajouri in Jammu province would be addressed by Tariq Hameed Karra and other leaders of the party.
On July 29, senior party leader Ghulam Hassan Mir and Abdul Aziz Zargar would address the Foundation Day function at Anantnag, while Tariq Hameed Karra, accompanied by Mohammad Khalil Bandh would address a similar function at Poonch on the same day.
On July 30, PDP President, Ms Mehbooba Mufti and senior leader Moulvi Iftikhar Hussain Ansari would address the Foundation Day function at Budgam, while Sardar Manjit Singh and Dhaman Bhasin would address a similar function at Kuthua on the same day.
On July 31, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, Muzaffar Hussain Baig and Abdul Rehman Veeri would address the Foundation Day function at Baramulla, while Ved Mahajan and Master Tassaduq Hussain would address a similar function at Udhampur.
On August 1, Mohammad Dillawar Mir, Basharat Bukhari and Mohammad Sultan Panditpuri would address the Foundation Day function at Kupwara.
On August 2, Mr. Abdul Aziz Zargar and Nizam-ud-Din Bhat would address the Foundation Day function at Pulwama, while Peerzada Mohammad Hussain and Basharat Bukhari would address a similar function at Doda.
On August 3, Ghulam Hassan Mir and Qazi Mohammad Afzal would address the Foundation Day function at Kargil, while Peerzada Mohammad Hussain and Basharat Bukhari would address a similar function at Kishtwar.
On August 5, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, Muzaffar Hussain Baig and other party leaders would address the concluding Foundation Day function at Jammu.
This is for the first time that the party is organizing such an extended program to commemorate its Foundation Day. The party was formed on July 28, 1999 with Mufti Mohammad Sayeed being its founder president
