Jammu | July 23
Samajwadi Party (SP) workers in a meeting held here today have strongly condemned militants’ attack on Amarnath pilgrims at Pahalgam the other day.
According to a party hand out the party leaders came down heavily on the civil administration and police for their failure to prevent such happenings. They said it was the second attack on the pilgrims within a couple of days after Baltal.
The leaders alleged security lapses and asked the government to beef up security in the entire yatra route and ensure safety of the pilgrims at any cost. They called upon the Chief Minister, Ghulam Nabi Azad to arrange fool proof arrangements and ensure that pilgrim traffic continues fearlessly and uninterruptedly.
Sham Lal Mahasha, Ram Singh Chouhan, Hari Krishan Tickoo and Pritam Pal Gupta addressed the meeting.
