| Khajuria calls on Governor, demands dismissal of Government | | | Jammu July 23-BJP State President Ashok Khajuria met Governor Lt. Gen. (Retd.) S.K. Sinha at Srinagar today and urged him to dismiss the Congress led coalition government in the state by invoking section 92 of the Jammu and Kashmir Constitution and take over the state administration in his own hands. According to a party handout Khajuria is reported to have told the Governor that the State Government has lost the moral authority to rule the state even for a day in view of the Chief Minister’s revelation that his advisors were asking him to allow the politicians, including ministers, and bureaucrats to indulge in corrupt practices so that the central funds could be spent on time. He also told the Governor that the dismissal of the Azad-led government has become absolutely necessary in view of the fact that his coalition partners like the PDP, the PDF and the CPI (M) are openly subverting the Indian State and challenging the very sovereignty of the country by demanding demilitarization and repeal of anti-terror laws. Ashok Khajuria further told the Governor that it is the appropriate time for him the (Governor) to exercise his constitutional authority vested in him by Section 92 and save the state from the impending disaster. At the same time, Khajuria appreciated the Shrine Board authorities for the steps taken by it in making the ongoing Amarnath yatra a grand success despite impediments being created by the government. He alleged that militant-friendly parties and communal outfits, opposed to the Amarnath Yatra, are responsible for creating a situation enabling the militants to throw grenades on the Amarnath yatris. He was of the view that Governor would realize the gravity of the situation and act without losing a single moment, the release added. .
