| Injured militant’s body recovered, responsible for killing two SPOs | | |

The body of a militant who was injured in an encounter some time back was recovered from Kither area of Doda district during a search operation today.
According to reports Doda police and 26 RR recovered a body identified that of Javed Iqbal son of Shamas Din resident of Chinyas, a militant of LeT outfit who had surrendered before police and Army in October 2005 and later rejoined the ranks
It may be recalled on March 30 this year one militant namely Mohammed Ali code Abu Zar son of Mohd Abass Khan, resident of Sanwara of LeT outfit was killed during encounter at Kither area while his two associates who had sustained injuries in the encounter managed to escape.
One of the injured militant identified as Showkat Ali son of Bashir Ahmed resident of Tanta of the same outfit had later succumbed to his injuries and his body was recovered on April 5 last while another injured militant Javid Ahmed was untraced.
During the routine search operations in the area, Forces today recovered a body in Kinther area of the district identified that of Javid Ahmed
The sources said that Javid had killed two SPOs namely Ishwer Lal and German Singh on September 9 last year and had looted the police post Chinyas. After surrendering before the forces in October 2005 Javid along with SPO Abdul Qayoom had rejoined the militant ranks and was active in the area since then. His death is considered a serious blow to the LeT outfit, the sources maintained
