| CB registers case against fraudulent selection, promotion | | |

Acting on a complaint received from the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Srinagar to investigate into the allegations leveled by Dr G N Lone with regard to the fraudulent selection and promotion of Dr Abdul Majid Dar and Dr. Mohammed Akbar Bhat in CVTS, SKIMS Soura, and Crime Branch has registered a case FIR 55/07 for thorough investigation.
The enquiries made by the Crime Branch reveal that selection on temporary basis of eligible candidates against migrant posts in CVTS Department was made in violation of the prescribed norms subjecting the complainant to wrongful loss. The enquiries further reveal that selection of the suspects has been made in contravention to the advertisement notice thereby substantiating the allegations leveled by the complainant. Crime Branch has taken cognizance into the matter and registered case FIR 55/07 for thorough investigation.
