| Man held with narcotics | | |
Srinagar July 24: Police today arrested a person with 700 Grams of narcotic material, probably heroine a highly refined drug costing lakhs of rupees in the international market. The man was arrested from Manasbal area of Ganderbal district in Central Kashmir.
Sources told that acting on a specific information police laid a naka near Manasbal Lake and arrested the person possessing 700 Grams of psychotropic substance apparently heroine from him.
The accused has been identified as Mushtaq Ahmed rather son of Ghulam Ahmed Rather of Rather Mohalla Safapora .
Police said while the seized material is being sent to FSL for further confirmation, Police has registered a case FIR No: 162/2007, under section 8/20 NDPS Act in this regard and has taken up investigations.
