| Hakim for assessing damage to paddy, houses and property due to rains in Budgam | | |
Srinagar, August 11 – Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution, Hakim Mohammad Yaseen has directed the Deputy Commissioner, Budgam to assess the damage caused to the paddy crop, residential houses and other public property due to hail storm and recent heavy rains in various parts of the district. He asked for submitting a detailed report about the damages speedily so that relief measures are initiated.
Meanwhile, deputations from various parts of the district met the Minister and apprised him about the damages caused to the crops and public property. The deputationists demanded financial assistance and availability of food grains to the affected families.
The Minister assured that government would take necessary measures for providing relief to the affected families in the district as early as possible. |
