| SP hails decision on enhancing honorarium | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu July 24, Samajwadi Party today hailed the decision on increasing the honorarium of numberdars and chowkidars. BSP state head Sheikh Abdul Rehman, while addressing a district workers conference at Kulgam said, “Enhancement of honorarium in favour of numberdars and chowkidars; although a belated decision, yet is appreciable on the part of state government to accede to this outstanding demand of these important functionaries of the village. In his address, Rehman said that repeatedly dodged and deceived by the traditional ruling parties and their leaders, in the past sixty years, the electorates of Jammu and Kashmir, particularly those of Kashmir Valley, stand disillusioned and are looking forward optimistically toward the Samajwadi Party. It is because of this reason; Rehman said that the conference of the party was held at Kulgam, which is considered to the strongest fortress of the CPI (M). Referring to the recently announced increase in the quota of KAS and IAS officers, the state SP President said that there were yet more virtal issue, which required the attention of Chief Minister, Ghulam Nabi Azad
