INTUC leaders visit remote areas

DODA, JULY 24—To take stock of prevailing situation and problems of the people residing in remote and far flung areas, a team of senior leaders of Indian National Trade Union Congress had an extensive tour of various areas of Doda district including Kastigarh ,Dessa ,Bharth ,Sanasar ,Gathi ,Gandoh and other some far off areas. The team was led by Tariq Hussain Zargar District President INTUC.
These leaders addressed a series of meetings at these places and interacted with the inhabitants of these areas and listened to their problems
During its five day extensive tour of the remote areas, the INTUC leaders observed that the people were highly appreciative of the government, especially the Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, for taking interest in the development of such areas that remained neglected during the National Conference rule in the state.
Addressing public meetings District President INTUC Tariq Hussain Zargar highly praised the Congress led coalition government for conceding the long pending demands of the people of the area .He said provision of road connectivity to all rural areas was on the top of the Government agenda adding that opening of University Campus at Bhaderwah and setting up Bhaderwah Development Authority were the biggest achievements.
He urged upon the people to remain united under the Congress for development and peace and strengthen the hands of CM in taking the state to the new heights of progress and prosperity.
The locals also put forwarded various problems before the INTUC leaders and sought their intervention for early redressal. The problems included lack of infrastructure in schools and dispensaries, shortage of water supply and electricity and poor net work of BSNL.
Those who accompanied the INTUC leaders included Mohammed Shafi Naik ,Mushtaq Ahmed Naik ,Mohammed Sadiq ,Krishan Chand and Ram Krishan .
