| YCC lifts Cosco Cricket Trophy | | |
Doda July 24- Youth Cricket Club (YCC) Doda won the final of ongoing Summer Cup Cosco Ball Cricket tournament by defeating Wani Cricket Club (WCC) Doda by 18 runs at Eid Gah grounds here today.
Earlier, YCC won the toss and elected to bat first and set a defendable target of 122 for losing all their wickets in stipulated 18 overs.
Faraz Shapoo and Surjeet were the top scorers from YCC by scoring 30 and 28 runs respectively. From opponent side Amir and Ifroz shared one wicket each.
In reply to a modest total of 122 runs scored by YCC, the WCC team just scored 102 runs in 17 overs. From WCC Izhar and Aftab scored 45 and 19 runs respectively. From FCC Mudassir Batt and Umar Batt shared three wickets each. Later Izhar and Ravinder of WCC were declared Man of the Match and Man of the Series respectively while Umar Batt of YCC was declared as best bowler and best batsman of the tournament. Faraz Shapoo the caption of YCC was declared as Best wicket keeper of the tournament by for his excellent performance of taking six catches and stumping three players.
Mujahid Gathwan was the Cheif Guest on the occasion while Irshad Ahmed and Najeeb Shapoo were the special guests..
Later, the Chief Guest distributed prizes among the winner and runner up teams. The tournament was organized by Ashfaq Ahmed Gattu.
