| Scooterist dies in accident | | |

A scooterist was crushed to death by an army vehicle on University road here this afternoon, police seized the vehicle and arrested its driver and registered a formal case in this regard.
According to reports, Raj Kumar Sharma son of Kasturi Lal Sharma resident of Talab Tiloo who was driving his scooter No JK02Q/8969 on the University road was hit by an army vehicle and succumbed to his injuries on the spot.
The passers by immediately informed the police who rushed to the spot and took the body in their custody and seized the vehicles and arrested the driver Bharat Lal Gurjar son of Roop Lal Gurjar resident of Billwara, Rajasthan of 26 Rajput Bn. Police took the body to Government Medical College Hospital and after postmortem handed over it to his family members for performing last rites.
Police have registered a case in this regards and started investigations.
