| Delhi high court grants bail to Ghulam Mohd Dar | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu July 24, Division bench of Delhi High Court comprising of Justice R S Sodhi and H R Malhotra today ordered the release of Ghulam Mohd Dar, r/o Barzala Srinagar on bail after hearing the counsel, Prof. Bhim Singh. Singh in his two hours long arguments submitted that section 19 (7) was not applicable in this case because Dar a respectable citizen has been languishing in Tihar Jail for the past five years. He also submitted that the trial court has not implemented the orders of the High Court to finish the trial by December 15, 2006. He also submitted that there was change of political climatic and winds are changing in favour of peace and harmony and described the charges against Dar as imaginary quoting the observation made by the trial court that Ghulam Mohd Dar was not involved in any terrorism activity nor he had any link with the terrorists according to the confessional statement. Prof. singh was assisted by D.K. Garg and B. S. Billowria general secretary state legal aid committee.
