| CRPF man makes abortive bid to end life | | |
Srinagar, July 25: Yet another CRPF personnel today made an abortive bid to end his life by shooting and critically injuring himself inside a camp in the valley.
Fayaz Ahmed Dar of 181 Bn CRPF posted at Battalion headquarters at Charar-e-Sharief in District Budgam, fired upon him self with his service weapon early this morning, police sources said.
Dar a local, is resident of Sail Chursoo Tral.
The jawan was immediately shifted to SMHS hospital Srinagar where doctors attending on him stated his condition as critical.
This is second such incident in last twenty four hours when a CRPF Jawan has fired himself with service rifle.
Havaldar Sumeer Kumar Sahu, posted with 24th Battalion ended his life after shooting himself to death with his service rifle inside Rawalpora camp on Tuesday morning, sources said.
