| Fake ticket checker arrested | | | Jammu, July 26 :
The Railway police today arrested one Jaiprakash from Ahmadabad who ,while posing as a ticket checker,had cheated several passengers.
According to Railway police officials Jaiprakash,wearing a formal uniform,would enter several bogies five minutes before the departure time and check tickets.Those without tickets would be charged by him with a promise that he would provide them tickets when the train left the Jammu station.The moment the guard would blow the whistle for the train to leave Jaiprakash used to alight the coach to be seen nowhere.
When some passengers complained to the Railways officials a trap was laid and Jaiprakash was arrested.He was subjected to interrogation by the Railway police and confessed that he was posing as a ticket checker.He had confessed that he had collected Rs.8,000 during the last two days and the entire amount was recovered from him.
