| JeM militant killed in Bandipora | | |
Srinagar July 26 : Security Forces today claimed to have killed a Jamiat-ul-Mujahideen militant at Arin a far off village in north Kashmir Bandipora district.
Sources said that Police and 14 Rashtriya Rifles launched a joint operation after received information about the presence of militants in the house of one Syed Mubarak Shah at Arin Bandipora.
They said that as soon as the troops cordoned the target, militants resorted to indiscriminate firing on them. The troops retaliated and a militant was gunned down in the ensuing encounter till the last reports came in
The slain militant is believed to be Saqib of JeM outfit.
