| Militant group spotted in Billawar | | |

Following reports about presence of militants in Billawar area of Kathua district, a massive search operation was launched in the Sundri Kot area
According to reports last night some local people spotted a group of militants near Mata Sundri Bala and informed police who rushed to the spot and launched a massive search operation in the entire to apprehend the militants. The search operation which continued for the whole night has failed to yield any result, the sources said adding that the militants must have fled away from the area on noticing locals..
Sources said that on the directions of the senior police officers, additional force was rushed to the area to resume operations this morning which was still continuing till last reports came in.
It is worthwhile to mention here that Mata Sundri Bala is a famous religious place in the area and during navrataras a large number of people visit the place. Sources said some days back the agencies had also received specific information that a group of militants were operating in the area
