| District Boxing championship Concludes | | | Early Times reporter

Two Days District Jammu Boxing Championship Conclude today at indoor complex MAM stadium. The championship was organized under the Banner of J&K Amateur Olympic Association and J&K sports Council.
Many dignitaries including Krishan Lal Sharma, sports officer J&K Sports Council, SS Gill Assistant Commandant BSF, Anil Wadhera, and Kuldeep Handu Wushu Coach were presented on the occasion.
About 30 participants participated under different weight categories participated in the championship. Results under the different categories included:
In Sub junior category up to 3o Kg: Arun Sharma (Ist), Rakesh Sharma (2nd) and Robin Sharma (3rd),In 30-33 kg: Sunil Mehra (Ist), Sunil Sharma (2nd) and Sumit Sharma (3rd),Above 36 Kg: Sahil Thappa ( Ist), Ashok (2nd) and Suresh (3rd),In 42-45Kg: Purshotam (Ist) and Ganesh (2nd),In Senior Category Light Fly Event: Danish Padha (Ist), Sanjeev (2nd), In Fly Wt (48-51) Kg: Sunil Kumar (Ist) and Jatinder Singh (2nd), In Light Wt (57-60) Kg : Nitish Sharma (Ist) and Anil Kumar (2nd), In Welterweight (60-64) Ajit Singh (Ist) and Akash Pardhan (2nd), In Super heavy Wt: Arjun Wadhera (Ist) and Nitin ( 2nd).
The match was officiated under the supervision of Rajan Sharma, Anil Wadera, Sachin Chalotra and Sanjeev Sharma.
J&K Amateur Boxing Association is also going to organize the State Boxing Championship from 30 July. The state team will be selected after the State Championship which will participate in the 54th Senior Boxing Championship held at New Delhi from 25th Of August. Before the teams departure the team have to attend the coaching camp from 2nd of August
