SHTO drivers, cleaners observe token strike

The drivers and cleaners of the State Health Transport Organization (SHTO) today went on a day’s token strike to press their demands which included release of pending salary for the last five months.
The staff staged a sit in under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir Medical Employees Federation. President of the union Anoop Singh led the protestors.
The protestors were demanding release of the pending salary of the employees, which is pending for the last five months, besides streamlining the process of releasing timely salaries.
Among others who took part in the demonstration were Susheel Kumar Sudan, Vinood Kumar, Ram Pal, Anil Gupta, Darmesh Kumar, Ghar Singh, Yash Karan and Shashi Kant
