Jammu 28th July 2007: Rich tributes were paid to late Ghulam Mohammad Jan, MLA Poonch by the J&K National Conference in a condolence meeting held today at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan, Jammu under the Chairmanship of Shri Ajay Sadhotra, Provincial President Jammu Province.
Paying tributes to late G.M. Jan, Ajay Sadhotra recalled his close association with G.M. Jan and said that his untimely demise is a great loss to the party. He said Gh. Mohd Jan was through gentleman who had kind and noble heart and was down to earth. He upholds the flag of secularism during his life time and stood with the party in all crises.
He said they have lost a close colleague and a great parliamentarian. Shri Sadhtora highlighted the services rendered by Ghulam Mohammad Jan during his life time for the party and for the people of his area from where he was elected twice and people of his constituency have posed great faith in him.
The vacuum created by his untimely demise will be difficult to be filled in, Shri Sadhotra said.
